Carr Photography LLC is the creative partnership of David and Tonya Carr—two award-winning artists whose paths in visual storytelling began in very different ways but ultimately converged into a shared photography business.

David spent 25 years traveling the world as the drummer for the four-time GRAMMY-winning rock band Third Day. His extensive travels, time on stage, and encounters with remarkable people and places sparked a deep desire to capture meaningful stories through a camera lens. Ten years ago, he officially stepped into photography, bringing with him a lifelong love of visual expression—from architecture and design to film and portraiture. David is especially passionate about helping people feel confident in front of the camera, transforming moments of uncertainty especially in profession headshots into images that reflect authenticity and self-assurance.

Tonya began her photography journey at age 15, shooting film and printing in a professional darkroom before earning a degree in visual arts. She opened her studio in 2009 and has since built a distinguished career in portraiture, fine art self-portraiture, and macro wildlife photography. Her work has been published and exhibited internationally, earning accolades including a Master of Photography degree and multiple Platinum Medals from Professional Photographers of America, top rankings with Master Photographers International, and recognition as a two-time finalist in the Siena Creative Photo Awards.

After marrying, David and Tonya combined their creative strengths and professional experience to form Carr Photography LLC. Together, they offer elevated portrait and event photography continuing a shared mission to create imagery that is both artful and impactful.
